EDGE THICKNESS


A minimum edge thickness 
must be maintained so that 
the edge does not chip or 
tear and is comfortable.  
The minimum edge thickness 
for RGP lenses is usually in 
the range of 0.08 mm to 0.12 mm and may be a little thinner with hydrogel lenses.  It becomes greater with higher minus lenses.
